    Message from the Superintendent

Dear Families, Members of the San Bruno Community, and Visitors:

Having the opportunity to lead San Bruno Park School District forward is a great privilege for me. I whole heartedly embrace the legacy and the diversity of the District and the community-at-large. San Bruno public K-8 schools are literally positioned at a gateway to the world – flanked on one side by a generation of creative thinkers and doers at YouTube, and, on the other, by a gorgeous, state-of-the-art Capuchino High School. We look East to an international airport and major transportation stations, and West to a newly modernized Skyline College and an ocean that connects continents. Close at hand to the South are Silicon Valley and Stanford University.

The District enjoys supportive partnerships with the City of San Bruno, the corporate and business community, service clubs, and Skyline Community College.

We are turning the page to a new chapter in San Bruno Park School District. Aging schools (52-76 years of age) are exorbitant to maintain and no repair can adequately create 21st Century teaching and learning environments that are necessary for our students to be successful in a global economy. We are embarking on a new journey to deliver the District’s Vision that “San Bruno Park School District will engage and inspire our students to be productive critical thinkers who embrace diversity, curiosity and innovation throughout their lives”.

The successful passage of a $79 million facilities bond and consolidation among elementary schools is in process to create “Schools with Tomorrow Inside” with educational transformation in new and modern campuses where teachers as well as our students will thrive in learning environments that provide for an innovative 21st Century educational

I invite you to join us on this journey of imagination, discovery, and success. Thank you for visiting our website.

    Stella M. Kemp, Ed.D.
