Volunteering in Our School District
Thank you to all who volunteer in our schools! Our programs are stronger because of your support. All volunteers must be cleared by the district to work in classrooms, volunteer at lunch, attend field trips, etc. THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT TO BE CLEARED TO VOLUNTEER THIS YEAR! PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO ALL THE REQUIREMENTS. To be cleared to volunteer you must:
Complete volunteer paperwork and return it to your school office - If you have been approved to volunteer in the past, you do not need to complete the paperwork again.
Provide a negative TB test result or a TB Screening Form completed by your physician. Please check to make sure your TB has not expired (due every 4 years). Your office manager at the school site has access to this information.
Complete fingerprinting (forms (3) included in volunteer paperwork) - Once your fingerprints have been cleared, you will not need to do this again to volunteer until your child leaves the San Bruno Park School District.
NEW THIS YEAR: complete the Mandatory Reporter Training now required by the state. Mandated Training Website ( https://mandatedreportertraining.com/california/ )

Please complete the "SB 848 Child Abuse Prevention Training for School Personel” training module (35 minutes)
CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION FOR THE MANDATED TRAINING MUST SUBMITTED TO YOUR CHILD’S SCHOOL OFFICE. Please click the link to your child's school to upload the certificate. If you have students at different sites, please upload your certificate to all school sites where your children attend.
5. Annually, attend one volunteer training session during the year. This needs to be done EVERY school year. Please join us virtually for one of our upcoming trainings:

Current volunteers who have not completed this training by the end of September will not be eligible to volunteer as of October 1st until the annual district and NEW mandated reporter training have been completed.
