Library Birthday Book Club
The goal of the John Muir Birthday Book Club is to add good literature to our school library as well as to replace some well-read favorites. Children can have a special connection to the library by donating a newly purchased hardcover book to the library in honor of their birthday, a friend or family member’s birthday, anniversary, memorial, holiday, graduation, or any special occasion.
How the Birthday Book Club works:
Specific books have been pre-purchased to supplement our current library collection and are available for you to purchase and donate to the school library.
Use the Birthday Book Club form to make a special donation to honor a child’s birthday. Or to make an honorary donation for a friend, a family member or an educator.
Each month a list of books available for purchase will be included in the school newsletter. If you wish to donate a book, just fill out the Donor form and send it back to the school with a check for $18.00 per book (made out to John Muir School).
Hardcover books may also be purchased from a bookstore. Fill out donor form and bring it with the book to the school library.
A photo of the birthday child holding the book will be taken and placed on the photo wall at school.
A bookplate will be placed inside the book with the child’s name and date. The new book will be added to the library collection.
Ms. Eschen will thank the student and award them a special certificate.
