Educational Services

San Bruno Park School District’s Department of Educational Services has the responsibility for providing leadership in all aspects of programs that promote student learning. This staff works directly with teachers, principals and classified staff members to enhance their expertise in ensuring student success. Examples of services include instructional materials (textbooks) selections, professional staff development, coaching teachers, English Learner assistance, state and local assessment programs, literacy programs, standards-based report cards, acceleration and retention procedures, state and federal categorical programs, summer school, and grant development.

Curriculum standards are set by the State of California Department of Education and adopted by the San Bruno Park Elementary School District. These content standards were designed to encourage the highest achievement of every student, by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills that students should acquire at each grade level. The California Department of Education helps schools make sure that all students are meeting the standards. Below you will find information about the standards and the Common Core State Standards.
